Senior Unix Engineer

Join our Professional Services team based in New York City as a Senior Unix Engineer, and make a real impact on the future of cybersecurity. 

As a Senior Unix Engineer you will work closely with clients to understand their unique requirements, design and implement solutions that address their specific challenges, and ensure that the technical solutions we provide align with our clients' business needs and goals.

This is an exciting role that combines technical expertise with technical account management. The annual salary range for this role is between $120K- $140K (up to $180K OTE). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consulting on IT security, including training on SSH products, architectural design, project planning, risk assessments, and the development of custom scripts and tools.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing technical issues, leading support cases, and facilitating effective communication through regular conference calls.

  • Oversee the installation, upgrade, and configuration of Universal SSH Key Manager (UKM) and PrivX software for customers, ensuring solutions meet high availability and performance standards.

  • Develop and maintain custom documentation, including Key Operating Procedures (KOPs), knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides, while proactively resolving technical issues related to SSH products.

  • Contribute to product roadmap planning by gathering customer feedback, and develop scripts and integrations to enhance SSH product functionality and automate processes.


    • What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in Linux/Unix operations or systems engineering.
    • 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Deep expertise in Unix services (e.g., TCP/IP, SFTP, DNS, SSH, Firewalls, LDAP).
    • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Go, and Perl.
    • Experience with configuration automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) and virtualization platforms like VMware.
    • Excellent communication skills.
